Spring is here?

Spring is here?

Lots going on right now.  Recording with Kristin Chambers, who is releasing an EP in the near future.  Great band and great songs.  Also, I’m super-stoked to have just recorded demos of my new material.  This is the first step towards recording a second album, which will hopefully be in the not-too-distant future.  I have a lot of new songs that I’d like to get out before they become old!

Keep Your Knife Arm Free

The Keep Your Knife Arm Free podcast is up!

My friend, Paul Fischer and I have been playing together for quite some time.  Recently, we have been getting together on a weekly basis and recording our improvisations.  We come in with no agenda and we record what comes out of our collaboration.  These sessions are now part of a podcast, which one can subscribe to on itunes, or simply stream at our website.

Winter Moving

This piece—the arrangement of which is presented here being commissioned by Jim Knapp for the now-defunct Jim Knapp Orchestra—was written during the period of dark moving to light.  I thought, however, that it would be fitting to bring it back into play for the season during which we move from light to dark.  Hot cocoa, slippers and the like are on the way. . . . Let us be thankful for what we have, and let us hold others in a positive light during this season.
